Tras'tath, Soul Parasite
Identity: A late-blooming hero who locks in a Tier 5 Dark Gift minion at the start and unlocks it on Turn 7.
Profile
- Trait: “Void Power” Discovers a Tier 5 minion with a Dark Gift at the start of the game and holds it in hand, locked until Turn 7. The Discover uses an exclusive gift pool that ignores the normal turn-based tier table. This hero starts with 15 Armor.
- Mechanics: For the first six turns the Hero Power provides nothing, but on Turn 7 it can put a Tier 5 gifted minion on the board; if it doesn’t fit, it can be sold for Gold once unlocked.
Playstyle
- Early game: Play a normal curve for six turns — 15 Armor lets you develop safely. Don’t empty board slots or over-level in anticipation of the Turn 7 minion.
- Key turns: Plan your direction at the opening Discover. Favor Tier 5 minions that are strong standalone or that combo with common cores; the gift is random, so offensive gifts such as start-of-combat stats, Poisonous, or Divine Shield plus Windfury raise its value a lot.
- Mid to late game: Evaluate immediately on Turn 7: build around it if it fits, or sell it for Gold and treat it as a bridge if it doesn’t. Then return to a normal level-and-roll plan rather than forcing the comp around one card.
Strengths
- You see and lock a Tier 5 gifted minion at the start, so you can plan your comp around it early, and it plugs the mid-game power gap when it arrives.
- 15 Armor makes the blank early game forgiving, so you can hold a standard curve until the unlock.
Weaknesses
- No Hero Power value until Turn 7; snowballing opponents can put you under heavy pressure first.
- You pick before seeing your shops, so both the minion and the gift can miss your final comp, making the payoff volatile.
