Kith'ix

Identity: A tempo hero who gets two random minions and turns playing one into a controlled discard.

Profile

  • Trait: “Dark Ritual” costs 2 Gold to get 2 random minions; when you play one, the other is discarded. Once per turn. This hero has only 8 Armor and no Buddy.
  • Mechanics: The pair works as a two-option choice, and playing either one produces a discard — fuel for Aberration synergies and a way to trade hand cards for a better fit.

Playstyle

  1. Early game: With a thin hand, use Dark Ritual to refill and take whichever of the two can hit the board; with only 8 Armor, don’t pass up board presence waiting for a better option.
  2. Key turns: Fire the Hero Power when you need a discard trigger or are digging for a core — “play one, discard the other” is a controlled discard. If neither card is good now, hold the pair and play one on the turn where the discard does the most work.
  3. Mid to late game: Build around Aberrations and discard payoffs, using the Hero Power for steady fodder and triggers. When your hand is tight, weigh using a card now for the trigger against saving it for a turn where it also completes a pair or triple.

Strengths

  • The Hero Power provides both card selection and a discard, so it fits Aberration comps while still adding resources.
  • Two options reduce variance: usually at least one of the two minions can be used immediately, keeping the mid-game smooth.

Weaknesses

  • At 8 Armor — the lowest tier — early focus fire can cost a lot of Health before you stabilize.
  • You pay 2 Gold for two minions but can only keep one; poor hand management or timing wastes the other outright.
