Millhouse Manastorm
Identity: An unconventional economy hero who buys minions for 2 Gold and cycles efficiently, while paying more to Refresh and level the Tavern.
Profile
- Nickname: Millhouse
- Trait: The passive Hero Power “Manastorm” makes minions and Refreshes cost 2 Gold, while Tavern upgrades cost 1 more. His exclusive Buddy, “Magnus Manastorm,” is a Tier 4 4/4 that makes 2 Refreshes free each turn; the Golden version makes 4 free.
Playstyle
- Early game: Use 2-Gold minions to build the strongest wide board available, prioritizing economy, tokens, and immediate refunds. Since Refreshes also cost 2, accept playable shops instead of spending heavily for a perfect opening.
- Leveling turns: Tavern upgrades are more expensive, so calculate the next turn's economy in advance. Level only when access to the higher-Tier pool justifies the premium; otherwise keep converting cheap purchases into board and resources.
- Mid to late game: Cheap minions support frequent buying, selling, and resource cycles, but paid Refreshes drain Gold quickly. With Magnus Manastorm, buy needed cards from the current shop first, then use the free Refreshes deliberately instead of discarding a strong Tavern.
Strengths
- Two-Gold minions make economy units, tokens, and temporary combat purchases highly efficient, filling the board quickly.
- The Buddy offsets expensive Refreshes and makes mid- to late-game searches and pivots much smoother.
Weaknesses
- Tavern upgrades cost 1 extra, so standard leveling curves do not apply and premature leveling can lose both board and economy.
- Every paid Refresh costs 2 Gold, making poor shops unusually expensive and demanding disciplined stopping decisions.
