Genn, Worgen King

Identity: A delayed-burst hero who plays the first three turns without a functional Hero Power, then gains two Hero Powers on Turn 4 and rebuilds the game plan around their combination.

Profile

  • Nickname: Genn
  • Trait: The passive Hero Power “King of Duality” Discovers two Hero Powers on Turn 4 to replace itself. From that point, both costs, trigger conditions, and sequencing requirements must be planned together.

Playstyle

  1. Early game: With no practical Hero Power benefit for three turns, prioritize the strongest board and a sound leveling curve. Do not sacrifice Health or hold unusable components merely while waiting for the Turn 4 package.
  2. Turn 4 choice: Evaluate the two powers as one system. Favor combinations that split economy and tempo, share a trigger, or let one effect generate resources for the other. Avoid packages where both powers compete for large amounts of Gold or the same action window.
  3. Mid to late game: Rebuild the curve around the chosen pair. Reserve Gold and targets for active powers, preserve triggers for passive powers, and check the correct order each turn before purchases, Refreshes, or Discover effects remove an opportunity.

Strengths

  • Two simultaneous Hero Powers can create economy, combat, or resource interactions unavailable to other heroes.
  • After Turn 4, the hero can adapt the entire direction to the available tribes and current board.

Weaknesses

  • The first three turns receive no Hero Power assistance, so weak shops may cost significant Health before the payoff.
  • The offered powers and their compatibility are random; conflicting costs or requirements can sharply reduce the combined value.
